Dr. Etchevers is a developmental biologist at the French National Institutes of Health (INSERM), studying the pathophysiology of large congenital melanocytic nevi in cellular and animal models. Chair of the Scientific Advisory Council to Naevus Global since 2015, she directs a research group studying pathologies of neural crest cell derivatives in the skin, head and vascular system.
