Beatrice de Reviers

We are all confronted daily with the gaze (s) of others. For some, the weight of this look may be more difficult to carry than for others. Through the experience of her own life, her career as a doctor, and the assistance of several people like her with a giant nevus, Béatrice de Reviers introduces us to different techniques or strategies to better cope or simply manage the gaze others. Béatrice DE REVIERS, is a general practitioner. Its vocation is to take care of others and to transmit. In search of tools facilitating the acceptance of the gaze on the congenital giant nevus, she conversed one day on the networks with doctor Heather ETCHEVERS. At the same time, in her daughter’s school, she meets a child with this “giant nevus” for the first time in her life. Chance or coincidence, his mother is none other than Doctor ETCHEVERS. This meeting will give birth to the ANNA association, a multidisciplinary commitment to the development of psychological help for children with dysmorphia. The project is the creation of therapeutic workshops and the labeling of strategies in the support protocol. ANNA will take human form in a therapeutic and educational comic strip, already the “Dermatologist of the Heart” prize, to be published in late 2016. (Video with English subtitles)
